All you need to do is enter your zip code or city and the scanner will listen for transmissions in your area. It lets you to monitor all of the major types of communications systems used by public safety like fire, police, ambulance, weather and more. It also allows you to specify the area that you need to hear any alerts that may be Weather, Civil, Biological, Nuclear, or National in nature.
The HOMEPATROL-2 is easy to mount on vehicles and receives all unencrypted, non- proprietary radio systems including APCO-25 Phase I and Phase II
digital, Motorola, EDACS, LTR, conventional analog and P25 digital channels. The scanner is equipped with a headset jack so that you can connect a set of headphones and listen.
